The Analytical Research & Development (ARD) department is part of Global Technical Development and responsible for the analysis of drug substances and dosage forms of synthetic molecule development products, at the Roche Basel site. 

As an Intern in ARD you will support the Drug Substance and Drug Product Process Development groups:

  • Collect and analyze existing forced degradation study data and excipient compatibility data
  • Perform in-silico analysis of API structures and their interaction with excipients and potential impurities in excipients
  • Compare in-silico results with available experimental data
  • Establish a best-practice guide for incorporating of a new workflow for conducting forced degradation and excipient compatibility analysis

Who you are:

You are a student (or you graduated within 12 months prior the start date) in the subject of Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology and have an interest in technical or analytical issues. Furthermore, you are interested in using and sharing your knowledge as part of your internship in a modern working environment.

  • Reliable and accurate working style.
  • Team-oriented and decision-making personality.
  • Self-sufficient, problem solving-oriented work habits.
  • Good software skills.
  • Proficiency in English, German is a plus.
  • Experience working in a lab-environment is a plus

This internship opportunity is one of a number of positions we offer in the department per semester. The interviews will take place on an interview day with all considered candidates and the whole department.

The Internship will start in 2025 for 6 – 12 months, please indicate your preferred start date and duration in your application.
