Categories: Drexel University, College of EngineeringJob SummaryThis position involves the conduction of qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and experiments, related to electrochemistry and batteries. These analyses will include spectroscopy and microscopy, to develop new knowledge of battery behavior for improved battery performance. Other parts of the job include quality and process control of solid-state electrolytes for purposes of chemical characterization.Essential Functions

  • Develop characterization methods for solid-state batteries (30%)
  • Understand how local material properties impact lithium metal cell behavior (30%)
  • Work with PI to mentor graduate and undergraduate students, present work at conferences (20%)
  • Help PI with writing proposals (10%)
  • Involvement in outreach and educational activities of the lab (5%) Report results and data in group meetings (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD or Doctorate is required.
  • 0-2 years of experience is required.

Additional InformationThis position is classified as exempt, grade I. Compensation for this grade ranges from a minimum of $41,120.00 to a maximum of $61,680.00 per year.
