Job Summary

We are a Musical Theatre lead academy and are in need of a Singing Teacher to run our small group singing lessons for the AUTUMN TERM ONLY. Saturdays 10am-1pm. We are based in Forest Hill, SE London.

Job Description

For next term only, we are looking for a “Guest Industry Professional” to run our small group singing lessons every Saturday from 10am-1pm.

The Singing Teacher needs to be able to run warm-ups as well as teach the chosen songs to each group, as they work towards an end of term presentation to friends and family members. Piano skills preffered.

The term dates are as follows:

Saturday 21st September – Saturday 7th December 2024

NO CLASSES ON – Saturday 26th October or Saturday 2nd November 2024 (due to Half Term)

Presentation date: Saturday 7th December – a couple of the small groups would be chosen to perform in front of our end of term audience of friends and family.

We put the children into groups of 3-5, each group having a 20 minute class with the appointee every other week. As we run a 10 week term, this would mean each student would get 5 classes over the term. A mini presentation would then take place at the end where we Showcase our chosen groups. The ages of our students range from 7-16 yrs old.

The hours for this would be 10am-1pm every Saturday and the hourly fee would be £30. £90 per Saturday session.

Job Requirements

Experience and love of working with children of all ages is essential. Take Flight’s approach is firm but fair, but with plenty of encouragement, inspiration, warmth, humour and fun thrown in!

We would prefer someone with piano skills but backing tracks could also be used.

Must hold a current DBS.
