About Your Work 

Join our multi-talented, Northern California Network Team as a Manager, Physician Network Development where you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of growth strategies focused on physicians, medical groups, and community-based organizations for Altais as a part of its statewide expansion of networks of care within California. This role support overall growth strategies by initiating and nurturing relationships with identified partners within designated geographic service areas for focused outreach and development of various capitated and/or fee-for-service statewide, regional and strategic networks for access, cost effectiveness, and network adequacy. 

As Manager, Physician Network Development, you’ll work closely with a team of Physician Network Development Managers. We seek individuals with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for promoting health and wellness

You will focus on: 

  • Serving as liaison to departments including credentialing and contracting to ensure that contracted physicians are submitted appropriately to facilitate credentialing and execution of provider contracts.
  • Increasing visibility with primary and specialty physicians in new and established markets to establish “provider network adequacy”, a robust provider network to ensure Altais Care Network can introduce, grow and sustain its full line of products and services.
  • Support the team of Network Development Managers to successfully prioritize provider targets, ensuring they maintain an adequate level of outreach to attain contracted provider goals, and maintain a satisfactory level of overall performance. 
  • Assist leadership with intel related to strategic market development opportunities to achieve company strategic objectives.
  • Smooth hand-off of customer service to our provider services team when the network transitions from development to operations.
  • Research and devise target list of providers in new markets by specialty.
  • Support strategic growth goals by using market research and data (both internal and external) to draft outreach plans for new and developing markets, including nurturing of physicians in developing markets. 
  • Present growth plans, provide timely updates and reporting on progress, review results and modify approach as needed to achieve business objectives.
  • Act as the department’s subject matter expert for growth geographies, representing the department as appropriate in internal meetings, and executing specific growth plans that could span multiple product launches and geographies.
  • Maintain timely documentation of outreach efforts within the department’s Customer Relationship Management (HubSpot).
  • Actively help execute the team’s annual calendar of Provider Business Development events (i.e., Dinners, Cocktail events, meetings, and others, etc.).
  • Work in conjunction with Marketing and Communications departments to formulate and distribute strategic collateral for physician outreach purposes.

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring:

  • Must be able to work independently and with a team with minimal supervision and direction. 
  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 75% in field. 
  • Collaborate with others in the organization to drive incremental provider growth, as needed.  
  • Form a strong working knowledge of the primary care and specialty care physician market through direct dialogue with community providers, researching competitors, and utilizing available data to monitor physician networks. 
  • Leverages experience to develop innovative solutions to achieve projected targets.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements: Office Environment – roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
