MI has been registered in Türkiye since 2014 and has since built up its own office structure. MI now has two offices in southeastern Türkiye (Kilis and Gaziantep). The Malteser InternationaI team provides technical guidance and oversees management and administration of the partner-implemented projects in Türkiye and Northern Syria. MI is responsible for the procurement of the main medical supplies in Türkiye, the reporting and application as well as the quality assurance. In addition to the implementation of humanitarian and transitional aid projects, Malteser International´s strategic objective is the strengthening of the civil society structures in Türkiye and Syria. Malteser International focuses in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye on the sectors of health, livelihood, protection as well as social cohesion.

For its work in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Information Management and Reporting Officer – National Position. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a centralized database for MI projects in Türkiye and Syria. The role involves collecting, verifying, and validating projects achievements, conducting data quality checks, and archiving project-related data securely. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Contribute in establishing and maintaining a centralized, comprehensive database for MI projects in Turkey and Syria program and connect it with the PowerBI dashboard.
  • Contribute to build the capacity of the quality department particularly in the information system related subjects.
  • Collect, verify, and validate the submitted data-related project’s means of verification by our partners, and keep the project’s IPTTs updated.
  • Conduct regular data quality checks for all program and monitoring-related data.
  • Archive project-related sensitive and non-sensitive databases in a secure and accessible manner, following MI data security protocols.
  • Under the guidance of the Program Quality Coordinator (PQC), assist in the digital transition and development of communication systems, learning system, partner performance matrix, etc.
  • In collaboration with the communication and advocacy officer, the IM and report officer will produce periodic reports and fact sheets summarizing key achievements of MI projects in Syria and Türkiye.
  • The position holder may be required to undertake additional activities and responsibilities as mutually agreed with the PQC.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, computer science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of proven experience in information management, MEAL, or reporting roles in the humanitarian sector.
  • Strong proficiency in database management and data analysis tools.
  • Experience in designing applications/forms with ODK-based digital data collection software especially CommCare (or other software e.g. SurveyCTO, Survey 123, ODK, iFormBuilder, Kobo, etc.)
  • Experience in Business intelligence applications (example: PowerBi, Tableau… etc).
  • Familiarity with data security protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal English communication skills; Arabic or Turkish is an advantage.
