Medical Supply Chain & Quality Coordinator reports to Head Pharmaceutical Services.

Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis and Evaluation: • Technical review of existing and new dossiers from LTA holders and non-LTA holders. • Evaluate the current pharmaceutical stock situation at all UNRWA fields and report any red flags to supervisor. • Analyze master sheets from CSSD for delivery status and tally with existing stock levels to identify any stock-out situation and agree on a plan of action. 2. Quality Assurance and Control: • Support in implementing quality assurance of pharmaceutical supplies to ensure conformity with WHO criteria. • Review the shipping documents of pharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with approved dossiers. 3. Documentation and Review: • Document and review key action points from meetings and discussions with CSSD and fields to aid decision-making. • Documenting and reviewing key action points from meetings and discussions with CSSD and fields to aid decision making and potential actions in pharmaceutical management. • Review the shipping documents of pharmaceutical products, and ensure they are in accordance with the previously technically approved dossiers. 4. Procurement Support: • Support quality control of food commodities specifications for agency-wide procurement. • Support quantification of laboratory supplies agency-wide procurement. 5. Strategic Planning and Mitigation: • Draft and discuss plans to mitigate potential stock-outs with field pharmaceutical focal points and follow up on key actions agreed. 6. Task Flexibility: • Field visits and in-person support to fields to streamline the pharmaceutical supply chain system (extensive support provided to West Bank last year). • Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or Director of Health.

Education

Work Experience

At least four years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in medical supply chain in areas of procurement, technical pre-qualification/review and/or other supply chain elements; Thorough understanding of software for review and analysis of pharmaceutical stock, is required. Knowledge of Systems Applications and Products (SAP), is desirable. Good command of written and Spoken English and Arabic Language skills, is required. Knowledge of UNRWA SAP System, is desirable. Knowledge of UNRWA Procurement practices, is desirable. Knowledge of Primary Health Care and UNRWA Health services delivery, is desirable. Are you currently residing in Duty station. Type of Contract: Limited Duration Contract (LDC), Band F. The Limited Duration Contract applies to external candidates and UNRWA internal candidates on LDC.
