As an employee owned company, we are looking for individuals that are passionate about finding innovative solutions, and excited about emerging technologies and capabilities.We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAFe Scrum Master to lead Azure Cloud teams in the iterative development and delivery of data products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in Agile SAFe environments, leading Program Increment (PI) Planning, and coordinating with SAFe PI Planning schedules. The Scrum Master will be responsible for guiding teams through the SAFe processes, ensuring effective use of project tracking and CI/CD tools, and contributing technically in the context of data product development.Key Responsibilities:Lead Azure Cloud teams through the SAFe framework to iteratively develop and deliver high-quality data products.Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and PI planning events.Guide and coach the team on Agile/Scrum practices, ensuring adherence to the SAFe framework.Coordinate and align team activities with Program Increment (PI) Planning and SAFe PI Planning schedules.Utilize project tracking and CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, and GitHub, to manage the work of software development teams.Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and communication around team progress and challenges.Remove impediments and blockers that could impact the team’s ability to deliver on sprint commitments.Contribute technically as needed in data product development, drawing on experience as a data engineer, data analyst, data scientist, data architect, or tester.Collaborate with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of data products.Qualifications:Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a SAFe Scrum Master on IT development projects.
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Certification: SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) certification required at the time of application.Agile Expertise: Extensive experience leading teams in Agile SAFe environments, with a strong track record of delivering data products.Technical Skills: Proven experience with project tracking and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, and GitHub.Data Product Development: Extensive experience as a technical contributor in data product development, including roles such as data engineer, data analyst, data scientist, data architect, or tester.Preferred Skills: Experience with Databricks for data transformation and serving, and experience with Power BI for structuring data and developing interactive visualizations.Project Management: Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is recommended but not required.Applied Information Sciences is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis covered by law.
