Here is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Albanwise Environment Ltd, supporting the delivery
of our nature recovery and natural capital projects in Norfolk.
We are recovering nature at scale, using nature-based solutions and green finance, and are
seeking the right person to join us on our journey.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical person with a background in projects, working
with contractors, environmental monitoring, strong communication skills and a passion for the
natural environment.
This full-time role will be based at our office at Barton Bendish in west Norfolk but will
include flexible working from home, other Albanwise offices and project sites around the Country.
Reporting to the Environment Manager for Norfolk, you will play a key role in our team and
carry out a range of duties including:
- Implementing our twin wetland creation and peatland restoration projects at Barton Bendish Fen and Stoke Ferry Wetland in west Norfolk. Totalling over 200ha, these are part of the wider ‘Nature for Climate’ funded ‘Fens East Peat Partnership’ (FEPP). Activities will include reporting, monitoring, and engaging with contractors and stakeholders.
- Supporting development of new nature recovery projects as opportunities are sought and emerge, either in-house or as part of wider partnerships.
- Arranging and managing contracts with land management specialists, graziers and ecological consultants.
- Carrying out in-house environmental surveys and monitoring as required.
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with project partners, the local community, neighbouring land managers, and other Albanwise staff across all its wider business
- Playing an active role in the team, support other team members and contribute to our wider work.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential
- At least 1-2 years’ relevant experience in a land management and nature conservation setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (including report writing and social media skills)
- A recognised relevant qualification linked to environmental or nature conservation management.
- A good understanding of wildlife habitats and species, how they are managed and restored.
- Good information management, data handling, analysis and reporting skills.
- Some environmental monitoring and survey experience
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Flexible, practical attitude and able to solve problems

Full UK driving license
Desirable
- Knowledge of protected site and species management and legislation
- Awareness and understanding of funding for nature recovery including grants,nature finance and environmental land management schemes.
- An understanding of farming and regenerative agriculture
- Some experience in delivering land management projects
- Good public engagement skills including social media and interpretation
- Experience of working in partnerships to achieve shared outcomes

extended further depending on funding. - A competitive renumeration package of £25,000 to £27,000 per annum, and salary sacrifice pension scheme.
