Function / Position Summary
To provide before/after school enrichment/support to students who have been identified based on the U-46 Assessment Guide criteria as students who need extra support. The teacher will work with the identified group of students to provide additional enrichment/support opportunities and increase the skills in the targeted areas to enhance academic achievement. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and display a willingness to collaborate and differentiate instruction for different ability learners.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Use data from standardized tests (e.g., SEL, F&P, SUPERA, ACCESS, etc.), formative assessments, STAR Assessment, Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), and/or other measures available in Edvantage or Infinite Campus to identify students requiring additional enrichment/support opportunities.
- Coordinate a schedule with the school principal and other staff, to provide before/after school services to the identified students.
- Plan for and guide the teaching and learning process toward the attainment or progress of School Improvement Plans (SIP) and curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for enrichment/support lessons and projects.
- Maintain and submit required (pre and post) class profile data on individual student progress and record/disseminate data accordingly for interim reports, report cards, MTSS (Multi-tiered Systems of Support) meetings, and/or other purposes as deemed necessary by the district.
- Collaborate and communicate student progress with building administration, colleagues, students, and/or parents as necessary.
- Participate in required district professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Professional Educator’s License (PEL) required with ESL endorsement (preferred).
- Experience / KnowledgeKnowledge of and experience with the U-46 Math curriculum, and Literacy Framework/Language Arts Curriculum, including guided reading practices as deemed appropriate for the targeted areas of support.
- Physical DemandsOccasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push objects up to 30 lbs. with proper technique.
