Job Summary

The Set & Costume Designer will be responsible for all aspects of designing and building the set and costume for HighRise Entertainment’s upcoming production, Lil.Miss.Lady written & directed by Dominic Garfield with music by Lady Lykez.

The Set & Costume Designer will be responsible for all aspects of designing and building the set and costume for HighRise Entertainment’s upcoming production, Lil.Miss.Lady written & directed by Dominic Garfield with music by Lady Lykez.

The touring schedule begins with rehearsals (13.01.25 – 07.02.25) and ends with the final leg (07.07.25-20.07.25). Rehearsals, tech, and some performances are based in London, with the tour visiting venues in Gloucester, Birmingham, and Manchester.

Fee: £4,500

Additional making/building time will be honoured or outsourced depending on design.

Please note that this is a freelance position.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of the aesthetic of Garage and Grime music, culture, and history, or strong willing to research and get a high-level of understanding to represent the work
  • Proven experience with designing and implementing set and costume designs in live performance settings
  • Experience with creating designs that can adapt to different spaces
  • Proven track record of sourcing materials for set and costume that complement and enhance live events and productions on time and in budget
  • Experience of working under significant time pressure to find creative solutions
  • Strong problem- solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in working in collaborative teams with multi-talented diverse artists
