The IRC’s Home Study and Post-Release Services (HSPRS) for unaccompanied children in the U.S. is growing from six current IRC offices to more than 17 offices throughout the US. This is a national, multi-million-dollar project with ambitious delivery goals in a short time frame.

The goals of the Home-Study Post Release Services Program (HS/PRS) are to:

  • Assess the safety and suitability of a sponsor before an unaccompanied child is released from custody into a sponsor’s care (Home Study)
  • Provide case management support via remote and / or conducting in-home visits to ensure the continued safety and stability of children in sponsor’s homes and linking children to resources in the community (Post Release Services).

SCOPE OF WORK:

The Quality Assurance and Data Coordinator is a full-time position that will support IRC’s Home Study and Post Release Services (HSPRS) for Unaccompanied Children (UC). The role will focus primarily on data entry, quality assurance and analysis, and compliance with monitoring and reporting requirements. Working closely with staff from a growing number of U.S. offices and dedicated Regional Managers, the Quality Assurance and Data Coordinator helps to monitor the quality of child protection programming by ensuring that data, documentation, and case files are accurate, uniform across offices, and in compliance based on funder and contractual requirements.

This position is limited term and part of an anticipated 36-month contract ending September 30, 2026.

DATA COLLECTION

  • Coordinate with HSPRS Intake Coordinators and Data Specialists to ensure proper data collection for ETO and other databases and platforms.

DATA QUALITY AND ANALYSIS

  • Ensure contract compliance of all HSPRS information and documentation is entered into relevant databases.
  • Ensure case files for new HSPRS cases are maintained and accurate with the appropriate documentation in the electronic case file system.

COMPLIANCE AND REPORTING SUPPORT

  • Prepare for monitoring by funder through supporting and organizing local office data and evaluating areas that need to be addressed.
  • Facilitate regular internal quality assurance checks that reflect the funder’s timelines.
  • Complete monitoring for all HSPRS offices and ensure monitoring reports are within ORR’s standards and that best practices and corrective action items are followed up upon.
  • Collaborate with HSPRS training team to ensure all new protocols and procedures set forth by the funder are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.

PROGRAM SUPPORT

  • Participate in and facilitate training, community of practices, and other meetings with internal and external stakeholders to share best practices for UC services.
  • Comply with all IRC and contracted policies, procedures, and protocols including the IRC Way and Child Safeguarding Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Directly reports to Senior Program Officer for Quality Assurance and Data, HSPRS
  • Supports Regional Supervisors, staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a concentration in business administration, international affairs/policy management, non-profit management, finance, and accounting, etc.
  • At least two years of related professional experience; preferably with immigrant services and in a non-profit or social service environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong keyboarding skills, and internet usage skills; database familiarity is a plus.
  • Proven organizational experience with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, demonstrate timeliness, and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; bilingual language skills in Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work as a team member with collaborative partners, community, and clients in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be cleared and approved by Office of Refugee Resettlement and background check including FBI fingerprints and Child Abuse and Neglect checks required upon hire (initiated by IRC after acceptance of the position)

Working Environment:

  • Remote work environment with the potential for up to 20% travel

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
