You must be a student registered at McGill in an MA or PhD degree program in the Winter 2025 term.

Hiring Unit: Department of Philosophy

Position Summary:

Responsibilities include hosting and facilitating discussions with small groups of students; grading of some assignments; attending lectures and reading course materials; communication with students regarding MyCourses, submission of assignments, etc.

Qualifications:

Positions only available to McGill graduate student with appropriate academic background. Previous study in the subject of the course.

PHIL 201 Into to Philosophy – Prof. MacClure – 3 positions of 180 hours

PHIL 237 Contemporary Moral Issues – TBA – 4 positions of 180 hours

PHIL 240 Political Philosophy 1 – Prof. Sharp – 2 positions of 180 hours

PHIL 310 Intermediate Logic – Prof. Hallett – 1 position of 90 hours

PHIL 334 Ethical Theory – Prof. Howard – 1 position of 180 hours

PHIL 348 Philosophy of Law – Prof. Stolijar – 2 positions of 180 hours

PHIL 474 Phenomenology – Prof. Buckley – 1 position of 180 hours

Hourly Salary: $36.25

Total Hours of Work per Term: 180 or 90 depending on assignment

Position Start Date: 03 Jan 2025

Position End Date: 10-May-2025
