Requirements:

Part-time Professor – Long Term Appointment (LTA) with a 5-year term with the possibility of renewal.

The incumbent will offer courses in second language instruction (SLE) in both official languages. The workload consists of 18 teaching credits (equivalent to six courses) at the undergraduate (SLE) and graduate levels. Three credits are also awarded for administrative activities in support of student success in the Faculty of Education.

Requirements

The candidate must:

  • Hold a doctorate in second language teaching;
  • Have a record of recent publications in the field of second-language teaching;
  • Be able to teach in a variety of modalities (face-to-face, online and hybrid);
  • Have a solid knowledge of French and English, in both reception and production;
  • Have the necessary skills to teach various courses in the ELS program or at the graduate level, such as:
  • DLS1100 – Intro. To second language teaching (Part I)
  • DLS 1101 Intro. To second language teaching (Part II)
  • EDU 7551 Current issues in second language didactic research
  • EDU 5242 – Trends in second language teaching
  • DLS 2501 Listening and reading comprehension

The University may consider experience or qualifications deemed equivalent to the above requirements.

Five-year contract with the equivalent of seven courses per academic year (21 credits).
