This role presents an exciting opportunity to advance patient access and has a significant impact on fulfilling the company’s vision and maximizing the value of its portfolio. Reporting to the SVP Global Market Access, the Associate Vice President of Global Market Access, Global Pharma will be a member of the Global Market Access Leadership Team and will lead a team across the Global Pharma portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defining the overarching ambition, establishing an enterprise vision and portfolio access strategy for the launch of new pharma products, and maintaining access for current products. This includes developing and advancing strategies to support broad and sustainable access to medicines across the world.
  • In partnership with global and regional access teams, preparing for external competitive and environmental pressures with proactive access strategies to differentiate and strengthen leadership, supporting timely, broad, and sustainable access to new medicines.
  • Bringing a strong payer perspective into relevant governance forums to optimize the relevance of new data and its impact on reimbursement and access in major markets.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders such as Medical Research and Development, policy, global pricing, and regional access teams to ensure excellence in reimbursement readiness and execution across the portfolio. This includes effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, medical experts, and alliance partners.
  • Leading a One Team approach across Global Market Access to implement global access plans for new launches and life-cycle management of mature products.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred: Advanced Degree (e.g., MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD)

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 15+ combined access, commercial, marketing support, payer, HEOR, or related experiences in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare market dynamics, in a variety of different therapeutic settings.
  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare trends, reimbursement systems, and policy issues impacting the industry.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, leading large cross-functional teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to analyze complex data to create patient and customer-centric strategies.
  • Track record of driving business results.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive initiatives with a “win as one team” mindset

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday – Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$268,500.00 – $422,700.00
