Position Summary:

A unionized contractual appointment. A Teaching Assistant is employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. A Teaching Assistant works under the guidance and supervision of the Course Supervisor who is responsible for setting the course objectives, content and method of instruction as well as final grades and grading practices of the course. Duties vary by course.

Your duties shall be outlined in the Workload form, to be completed by the course lecturer and signed by both parties.

Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree and be registered in a graduate program at McGill University in the winter 2025 term.

Please note that Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person. Should anything prohibit in-person teaching activities, courses will migrate to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible. Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.

This position is located in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec and you are expected to perform the work for this position in Quebec.
