We will train the next generation of key opinion leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs in ATs by stimulating interactions between non-clinical and clinical experts. King’s is a world leader in the field of ATs allowing us to leverage a critical mass of expertise in cancer, immune regulation, metabolic disease, genetic disorders, neurodegeneration and cardiovascular disease to develop our programme. We also incorporate cross-cutting disciplines, including health data science, artificial intelligence, imaging and bioengineering.

Training and mentorship will be facilitated by regular in-person interactions and blended learning. Students will learn fundamental and advanced research skills, receive bespoke training in ATs, together with professional and career development support. We have a pool of > 80 supervisors selected with scientific excellence, gender balance and ethnic diversity in mind. Our Industry Partners will allow students to undertake masterclasses, visits and placements. Our students will be embedded in the UK Advanced Therapy Network.
