Total Hours of Work per Term:

40 hours per position

Position Summary:

The main duty will be to provide detailed written feedback to students on their weekly written homework assignments, and to suggest a mark to the course coordinator.

Other duties will be as follows.

  • Potentially attend one or more (2-hour) classes to lead activities and/or to provide feedback.
  • If needed, offer one-on-one sessions to help students in need of extra assistance.
  • Invigilate and potentially to mark exams.
  • Manage myCourses website, including uploading material.

Qualifications:

  • Only registered McGill Graduate students are eligible to apply as Teaching Assistants.
  • NOTE: All candidates will have to fill out the questionnaire and upload relevant documents (Study permit (if applicable)/Proof of enrollment for Winter 2025 term).
  • Graduate student who demonstrated excellent performance in PHAR 610.
  • Must have excellent command of written and oral English as it relates to biomedical research.
  • Requires considerable attention to detail for marking assignments.
