Job Summary
Job Description
Salary range: £27,000 to £32,000 full-time equivalent.
Hours: 15-20 hours per week minimum, with potential for a full-time role at 37.5 hours per week (negotiable and subject to discussion).
Benefits: Pension scheme, company contribution towards phone bill, flexible working hours (dependent on negotiation).
Essential Skills
-
Experience of at least two years working in finance and administration.
-
Experience of forecasting, budgeting and creating management accounts.
-
Experience managing multiple project budgets alongside company-wide budgets.
-
Good working knowledge of Excel, Google suite, Xero.
-
Some knowledge of payroll and employment practice regulations including job retention, parental leave and sick pay.

Able to work in an organised and time-efficient manner.

Experience of working in a small team.
-
Good interpersonal skills and an effective communicator.

Confident in being self-initiated and working independently.
Desirable Skills
-
Detailed knowledge of and confidence working with Xero.

Knowledge of social justice, activism and systems change sectors.

Experience of project management.

Experience of analysing financial information and producing financial reports.

Confidence improving and developing new systems for financial reporting and analysis.

Experience of working with VAT within small organisations.

Job Requirements
- We require that candidates are based near Sheffield and are able to come to Sheffield to work together frequently.

While we offer flexible working at Opus, due to the high-responsibility nature of this role, a successful candidate will be able to combine remote working with in-person working and regular meetings with colleagues including Directors, Workflow Coordinators and our Accountant.
