Other Conditions: Lecturer applicant pool for Spring 2025, contingent upon course offerings, student enrollment, and availability of funds. Teaching may involve face-to-face and distance learning (DL). Lecturers are required to teach in Hawaii.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses, including ENG 100, and ENG 100T.
- Hold a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
- Develop and prepare course schedules, syllabi, and reports related to teaching and student progress.
- Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in English or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated success teaching English Composition or Literature at an accredited university.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in English or closely related field from a top-tier accredited college or university.
- Experience teaching in multiple modalities (e.g., online, in-person, hybrid).
- Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to developing skills in inclusive pedagogy.
- Evidence of excellence in college-level teaching.
