Leadership and Supervision

  • Supervise and mentor the members of the Educational Development team to promote teaching excellence in alignment with UCATT’s mission and institutional values.
  • Manage annual and promotion reviews for Educational Development team members.
  • Assess campus needs and design professional development programs to promote evidence-based teaching.
  • Collaborate with UCATT leadership to provide comprehensive services to instructors, students, and staff across the university.
  • Serve as a member of the Executive Committee for the College Teaching Graduate Interdisciplinary Program.
  • Evaluate professional development program effectiveness and assess impact on teaching and learning practices and outcomes.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Develop strategic partnerships within UCATT and across campus to promote evidence-based teaching and assessment.
  • Develop and communicate outreach strategies to stakeholders across campus
  • Represent UCATT in local, national, and international educational forums.

Educational Development and Teaching

  • Engage in scholarly work related to educational development.
  • Design and implement innovative educational development programs and initiatives.
  • Teach courses in the College Teaching Graduate Interdisciplinary Program, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong collaborative leadership skills.
  • Excellent listening, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Technology skills to support educational innovation and educational development.
  • Demonstrated ability to design in-person, online, and hybrid curriculum using Universal Design for Learning principles.
  • Ability to work effectively with academic professionals across the institution.
  • Knowledge of and ability to integrate ethical standards of educational development for formative feedback on teaching.
  • Ability to apply evaluative strategies for summative feedback on quality teaching and learning.
  • Strong planning skills, vision, and creative intelligence.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to apply change-management and organizational-development strategies to promote unit and team function and well-being.
