Outstanding Young Talents Programme (Overseas)

Applicants should:

• Abide by laws of the People’s Republic of China and have good ethics in science;
• Were born after 1st January, 1985
• Have obtained a doctoral degree;
• Research interests are mainly science and technology, and related disciplines;
• Have no less than three years’ continuous research or teaching experience outside China in a prestigious university or R&D institute; For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas and have particularly outstanding performance, the requirements for working years can be appropriately relaxed;
• Are living outside or hadn’t returned to China before the 1st of January, 2022 and willing to work full time for three years in China with no other full time employments outside China.

Remunerations and Benefits

• Hired as professor and given the qualification of doctoral supervisor, and the financial support for individuals and teams can reach 25-29+  million CNY during the employment period
• More than 60,000 CNY pre-tax annual salary (not including academic bonus);
• 2.8 million CNY of housing allowance (including Dalian housing allowance);
• 3-7 million CNY of research fund (3-year duration);
• Team building: 1 associate professor + 2 assistant professors + 6 postdoctoral recruitment indicators; 4 PhD in the first 3 years
• Priorly Funded by the “Xiaomi Young Scholars” Talent Fund, with a superimposed allowance of 100,000 CNY/year (for 3 consecutive years)

Assistant Researcher (Post-doctoral Research Fellow)

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will be expected to have:

• A relevant PhD degree (received within 3 years from a top-notch university);
• A solid research foundation and strong research capability.
• Academic prudence and team spirit.
• The applicants are preferably under age 30.

Remunerations and Benefits

• 250,000-300,000 CNY pre-tax annual salary (not including research bonus and team performance bonus), on a 3-year contract.
• 500,000 CNY of housing allowance if recognized as Young Talent of Dalian.*
• A grant of 300,000 CNY if recognized as the postdoctoral fellow of Revitalizing Liaoning Talents Scheme and  working in Liaoning.*

  • A grant of 200,000 CNY / year, for two years.
• Postdoctoral Overseas Training Scheme:
  • The appointee is given extra living allowance and sent to work and study in leading universities and research institutions abroad, supervised by two mentors (One is from DUT and the other is from the partner university).
