About Syrian Networks League (SNL):

An institution that brings together the coordinating bodies of Syrian Civil Society Organizations, SNL Started in 2015 and Officially registered in Turkey as a humanitarian league in 2021, gathered by a transparent coordination mechanism within credible, pluralistic participatory frameworks, aiming at mobilizing the energies of civil coordination bodies to ensure the creative expression of the aspirations of Syrian Civil Society, and develop its initiatives with the aim of advocacy for its issues and building its capabilities to promote comprehensive development. Syrian Networks League consists of seven coordination bodies. These coordination bodies include 140 organizations working in the humanitarian and civil fields in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey. An establishment that brings together the coordination bodies of Syrian civil society organizations, which are in agreement with the goals and mechanisms outlined in the statute.

1. The harmonious and balanced representation of the Syrian civil society through the agreed representation mechanism.

2. Advocacy for Syrian civil society issues to influence decision makers.

3. Developing the capabilities of the Syrian civil coordination bodies, and strengthening local, regional and international networking and cooperation channels.

4. Activating the oversight role of civil society.

5. Developing institutional civil work.

6. Promote participatory work and complementarity between civil coordination bodies.

Overall Purpose:

The Information Management Officer will be responsible for managing and organizing data related to multi-sectoral needs assessments and small grants implementation, in close cooperation with the Project Officer in Syria. The role will ensure effective data collection, analysis, and organization to support informed decision-making regarding humanitarian projects, while ensuring smooth information flow between various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data from multi-sectoral needs assessments to identify critical needs in affected areas.
  • Organize and maintain data related to the communities and individuals in need, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare reports and data summaries based on assessment findings for internal use and external reporting.
  • Monitor the implementation of small projects that are launched based on the needs identified in the multi-sectoral needs assessment.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all small projects, verifying that all necessary documents are collected and stored as per project requirements.
  • Monitor the progress of small grant activities, ensuring they align with the initial needs assessment, and evaluate their impact and outcomes.
  • Assist with data collection related to the effectiveness of the small projects, supporting the tracking of project performance and lessons learned.
  • Ensure that the projects are implemented in line with standards and guidelines, verifying that all steps of the project lifecycle are followed and documented.
  • Provide regular updates to the Program Coordinator on the status and performance of small grant projects, highlighting any challenges and providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop and maintain efficient data management systems to ensure that all relevant data is easily accessible and properly organized.
  • Generate regular reports on the status of data and activities related to needs assessments and small grants.
  • Ensure that data is stored securely and in compliance with organizational data protection and privacy policies.
  • Work closely with the Project Officer in Syria to ensure data consistency and accuracy across the project
  • Coordinate with the Program Coordinator and other team members to ensure smooth information flow and integration of data into project planning and reporting processes.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide data-driven insights to support program design and decision-making.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and field teams on data collection, management, and analysis techniques.
  • Ensure that all relevant personnel are familiar with data management systems and tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in information management or data analysis in a humanitarian context.
  • Experience in managing multi-sectoral needs assessments and small grant projects is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and database management tools; familiarity with data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Power BI) is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
