A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee daily HR operations and ensure compliance with employment regulations. The ideal candidate is an experienced, detail-oriented HR professional with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Through strategic planning and clear communication, the new leader will drive business growth by fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and optimizing HR processes while ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting organizational goals.Salary + Additional Benefits:

Location: Houston, TX 77086
Type of Position: Direct HireResponsibilities:

  • Coordinate various new hire processes such as I-9 compliance, E-Verify and background checks, drug screen and physical.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and onboard processes ensuring completion of necessary documentation.
  • Responsible for talent acquisition and recruitment.
  • Update and maintain Paycom system, ensuring accurate processing of employee data and transactions.
  • FMLA claims and STD claims.
  • Support and manage employee relations issues by facilitating conflict resolution and addressing employment-related inquiries, escalating complex matters as needed.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and human resources investigations.
  • Track and document compliance with required training, including ethics, and anti-harassment programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Generate offer letters.
  • Annual salary surveys.
  • Benefits administration.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date through regular reviews and revisions.
  • Worker’s Compensation reporting.
  • Maintain OSHA Logs and submit year end electronic submission.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources
  • At least 7 years as Human Resources Manager or Generalist roles
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • PHR or SPHR certifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Paycom
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
