We’re on the lookout for a director of sales committed to helping our busy hotel meet its sales goals. You will be responsible for designing our sales strategy and revenue targets, training and evaluating our sales personnel, and ensuring that we generate new and recurring business through various areas of revenue. - Solicit new guests with targeted outbound sales initiatives, such as personal calls to your network and phone solicitations to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups that will generate new revenue
- Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives
- Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers
- Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures
- Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast
Qualifications:
- Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
- Exemplary communication skills, leadership skills, and analytical skills
- Must have relevant experience of 5+ years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field
- Must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
