Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will be operating as part of the Global Programme on Crimes that Affect the Environment (GPCAE) in the UNODC Regional Office for West and Central Africa (ROSEN), under the general guidance of the Regional Coordinator of GPCAE for West and Central Africa. The intern will assis to draft posts for the Global Programme, support to organize several events and activities and assist to create a calendar of events for at least 3 months. The intern will also support the Regional Coordinator of GPCAE in the implementation of the GP workplan in West and Central Africa, as well as for the preparation of various activities under the GP framework. The Intern will carry out the following activities: – answering questions about the GP – scheduling events and activities – creating content for posts on the network – researching and inviting guest speakers – researching workshop topics and supporting the design of workshops INTERNSHIP IS UNPAID
Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
