Job Summary
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dedicated Visitor Services Manager to join the team at Headstone Manor & Museum. Reporting to the Deputy Operations Manager, the successful candidate will fulfil an important role maximising visitor enjoyment by maintaining excellent customer service levels
Job Description
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of facilities management within the arts/heritage/hospitality industry along with skills to carry out basic repairs and maintenance.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills for working with diverse communities.
- Knowledge and experience of working in compliance to licensing and health and safety procedures and legislation including food hygiene and accessibility.
- Experience of managing a small team of people including the ability to organise rotas and shift systems.
- Experience of managing front of house operations including caf and retail offers.
- Demonstrate an awareness of the importance of customer care, being responsive and considerate of customer needs and dealing effectively with a wide range of clients, partners and other stakeholders.
- An interest in the heritage sector and knowledge of running historic buildings.
- Meeting tight deadlines and prioritising workloads along with demonstrable skills in successful project planning.
- Intermediate/advanced level experience of word processing, spreadsheets and database systems alongside software packages for room/resource hire and point of sales or equivalent.
