The hourly rate is £12.71 per hour.
Duties include –
Visitor Experience
- To be part of creating a welcoming, accessible, and friendly environment for customers, maintaining the highest level of customer care
- As first point of contact for visitors to our buildings, offer a warm & friendly welcome to all.
- To be a point of information about Southwark Playhouse & all its activities.
- To be aware of all the access facilities that the Playhouse offers its customers & to actively promote these facilities to the public.
- To be responsible for the successful delivery of a first-class sales & customer service.
- To be inside the auditorium during performances when required.
Food & Beverage Operations
- To efficiently operate the theatre’s bar, kitchen, & floor areas, at all times.
- To responsibly handle takings & account for all income taken.
- To deal effectively with customer feedback & enquiries providing excellent customer service.
- To be proactive in bar & merchandise sales to ensure maximum profitability.
- To have a comprehensive knowledge of the organisation’s Food & Beverage offering.
- To ensure excellent food hygiene standards in both the Bar & Kitchen areas.
- Ensure that the bar is always fully stocked, & that stock is attractively presented.
- To ensure that all areas of the front of house are clean, tidy, & well organised.
Policies & Procedures
- To abide by & enforce appropriate licensing regulations.
- To adhere to & assist with stock control procedures.
- To ensure that daily cleaning duties are carried out & to assist with other weekly responsibilities.
- To attend training sessions necessary for the successful execution of the role.
- To adhere to all fire, health & safety procedures to minimise the risk of injury and accidents.
- To have an active role in the case of a building evacuation.
- To adhere to all staff work practises, rules & regulations.
Job Requirements
Person Specification
Essential
- Front of House experience
- Bar experience.
- Cash handling experience.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Good time management.
- Strong work ethic.
Desirable
- Knowledge and interest in Theatre.
- Knowledge of EPOSNow.
