Job Summary

Seeking crew for the UK and international tour of “Top Hat,” a musical. START DATE: 9 January 2026

Job Description

  • Support the Head of Wardrobe with their duties and deputise for the Head of Wardrobe as required

  • To assist as required with the supervision and maintenance of all costumes in the show for performances including all understudy costumes ensuring the Designer’ original specification and look of the production is maintained

  • Assist with the supervision of local venue dressers and ensure they carry out their tracks efficiently and correctly to a high standard

  • To carry out the assigned dressing plot/track for each performance, and ensure pre-show and track details are kept up to date, both physical and digital formats

  • Acquire a familiarity with all plots/tracks within the wardrobe department so that you can train & cover local venue dressers as required.

  • Work collaboratively with the other departments, especially Wigs, Hair & Make-up department, to ensure the smooth running

Job Requirements

  • Experience of working as Deputy Head of Wardrobe or Head Dresser on a UK Tour

  • Experience of styling and dressing for live performance / theatre

  • Good sewing skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually

  • Ability to troubleshoot

  • Ability to adapt work in accordance with performance and venue requirements

  • Ability to manage specialty cleaning of theatrical costumes and the repair/maintenance of costumes

  • Good communication & organization skills, with good level of empathy, integrity and confidentiality

  • Calm, confident, understanding & flexible

  • Positive approach to equity, diversity and inclusion, with willingness to train in & develop those areas
