Salary Range: Qualified Actual Salary: £27,215 – £38,619 FTE £28,887 – £40,990
Unqualified Actual Salary: £24,786 – £31,537 FTE £26,308 – £33,474
(Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience)
In this role you will be ensuring the pupils of Ashdown Garden School engage in learning and achieve by providing practical, experiential and therapeutic education through careful planning of the structure, methodology and delivery of the learning experience.
Job Requirements
To undertake this position successfully you will have:
- Practical experience in pottery, including hand-building, wheel-throwing, glazing, and kiln operation.
- Experience working with children with SEND, Autism, and complex behavioural or mental health needs.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and ICT skills (including planning, assessment, and reporting).
- Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and creativity in challenging situations.
- A teaching qualification (QTS) is desirable, or willingness to work towards one.
