Job description
Our CTO is evolving toward a dedicated focus on innovation and future bets, and we are expanding our leadership team with a VP of Technology who will ensure our core platforms and systems can support the next phase of growth.
As a VP of Technology, you will be responsible for the technical backbone of the company. Partnering with the VP of Engineering (people, delivery), you will own architecture, scalability, reliability, and compliance across our platform.
You are not just an operator, you are a technical leader who can balance long-term architectural vision with pragmatic decision-making in a fast-paced scale-up environment. You will report directly to the CTO, and work closely with the executive team to translate business strategy into a sustainable and scalable technical foundation.
Responsibilities
- Architecture & Scale:
- Define and evolve the company’s technical architecture to handle rapid growth and complexity;
- Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and performant.
- Platform & Engineering Productivity:
- Build and lead platform engineering/DevEx initiatives that enable engineers to ship faster and safer;
- Drive adoption of best practices in CI/CD, observability, infrastructure automation, and testing.
- Cost & Efficiency:
- Own the technical cost structure (cloud, tooling, infra), ensuring efficiency without compromising agility.
- Technical Leadership:
- Act as the architectural conscience of the company: guiding trade-offs, preventing unnecessary tech debt, and championing long-term quality;
- Be hands-on enough to support design reviews, incident response, and critical technical decisions;
- Ensure new technologies and approaches can scale within our environment.

Job requirements
Experience
- Around 10 years of experience in technical leadership roles, most preferred in start-ups/scale-ups or platform-driven businesses;
- Background in B2B SaaS or platform-based products;
- Master’s Degree on Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant fields;
- Experience scaling teams and systems in the 30–100 engineers range;
- Has seen (and solved) real-world scaling issues: performance bottlenecks, infra complexity, team growth pains;
- Background working closely with product, security, and executive stakeholders.
Technical Competence
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines;
- Strong understanding of platform engineering and developer experience;
- Hands-on credibility: not daily coding, but able to review, challenge, and mentor at a deep technical level.
Leadership
- Collaborative style: Able to partner with VP of Engineering, CISO, CTO, and product leadership;
- Strong communicator: Able to explain technical trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical executives;
- Low ego, high trust builder: Comfortable in a leadership team where roles are complementary.
