Job Description

Good day, everyone!

Here at Dance&Arts, we are currently looking for a warm, playful, and engaging teacher to lead our available Music Elements Afterschool Club.

Please see the details below:

Club: Music Elements Afterschool Club
Schedule: Every THURSDAY, from 3:40 PM to 4:40 PM
Duration: Starting the 15th of January until the 19th of March (Ongoing Term)
Location: Primary school in the Stoke Newington area (N16)
Students: KS1 (ages 6-7 years old)
**Pay is £40 per hour.

Music Elements introduces children to percussion instruments through fun, circle-based jam sessions, encouraging rhythm, listening skills, creativity, and playful musical exploration.

ESSENTIAL: Enhanced DBS check, commitment, and high reliability.

Job Requirements

Passion for teaching young children (ages 6-7).
Experience working in music or creative settings with KS1 pupils.
Confidence leading percussion or rhythm-based activities.
Ability to create a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before employment).
Right to Work in the UK (preferably residing in the London area).

Job Responsibilities

Plan and deliver playful, age-appropriate music sessions using percussion.
Facilitate circle-based jam sessions encouraging participation and creativity.
Support listening skills, turn-taking, and group interaction.
Ensure each session is structured, enjoyable, and supportive.
