Job Summary

Established artist seeking experienced Studio Manager to manage day-to-day operations in a friendly and professional studio environment.

Job Description

The Studio Manager oversees the daily operations, organisation, and production workflow of a busy sculpture studio, ensuring all projects run efficiently from concept through completion.

This role bridges the gap between the creative and administrative sides of the studio, supporting the artist and workshop team by managing schedules, coordinating materials and equipment, and maintaining a productive work environment. The Studio Manager is responsible for logistics, client relations, budgeting, and project tracking, as well as facilitating communication between the artist, clients, and museums/galleries. An ideal candidate has a strong background in art, exceptional organisational skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

This position serves a variety of functions within the studio, and a hands-on, can-do problem solver is a must, as is an easy-going attitude with a professional, positive demeanour.

Educational background in arts, arts management, business administration, or a related field preferred. (Relevant experience may substitute formal education)

Proven experience in studio management, gallery management, arts administration, or a similar role.

Prior experience in artwork shipping/logistics is desirable.

Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.

Knowledge of database management.

Understanding of budgeting, invoicing, and financial management.

Proficiency with office software is crucial and knowledge of relevant additional software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is beneficial.

Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Professional and approachable demeanour.
