WDR is the public broadcasting institution in North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany and one of the largest media organizations in Europe. As part of ARD, Germany’s nationwide network of regional public broadcasters, WDR contributes to a diverse and independent media landscape. The ARD Studio Brussels provides in-depth coverage of European politics, NATO and current developments in the Benelux countries. As an Administrative Assistant, you will support colleagues on site in all organizational and administrative matters.
We offer a secure position with a permanent employment contract and the opportunity to work in a dedicated team serving the entire ARD network. The position is to be filled as of April 1, 2026.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the studio’s operations by handling administrative and organizational tasks;
- Work closely with the accounting department in Germany and carry out administrative tasks such as digital invoice processing in SAP, handling travel expense claims, reviewing credit card statements and bank transfers;
- Conduct multilingual correspondence with suppliers, business partners, and creditors;
- Participate actively in procurement and purchasing processes and manage the petty cash;
- Provide administrative support to colleagues, including managing office mobile phones and contracts, subscriptions, and access permissions;
- Organize and coordinate meeting rooms and supervise minor repairs in the building;
- Maintain structured archiving and a clear digital filing system;
- Substitute for the administrative lead when required.
Your Profile
- Education as accountant or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience;
- Confident in working with MS Office (e.g., Outlook and Teams) and open to learning new software, such as SAP;
- Independent, well-organized working style with strong multitasking abilities;
- Team-oriented and service-oriented approach, complemented by a trustworthy handling of confidential information;
- Excellent communication skills, with native-level German (C1) and fluent French and/or English (B2), both written and spoken.
Additional Information
Employment will be directly with the ARD Europe Studio Brussels and is subject to Belgian labor law.
