Reporting to: Festival Manager
Location: The role could operate remotely; however, the role holder would be required to be based in the office in Scarborough a minimum of one day per month and to be in Scarborough across specific festival dates (as identified by the Festival Manager).
SJT is working in partnership with The Scarborough Fair to support the delivery of a year-round programme of arts, heritage and sporting festivals, taking place in and around Scarborough town centre. Since that point, it has delivered 573 events, over 285 days, at 308 locations, supported 101 local creative commissions, and seen over 370,000 attendances. It is a festival that belongs to Scarborough, created by and for the people of Scarborough. It has increased footfall, extended the visitor season, strengthened the local creative economy, created jobs and skills development, and enhanced civic pride.
The upcoming year is a busy one with over 170 events already programmed over the summer, so we are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Marketing & Development Co-ordinator to work alongside the Festival Manager in developing and promoting The Scarborough Fair brand and activities. You will be part of a small but dedicated team and will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of The Scarborough Fair.
