Job Summary

UK Productions Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Production to lead the delivery of its extensive programme of touring productions, co-productions, and hires.

Job Description

UK Productions Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Production to lead the delivery of its extensive programme of touring productions, co-productions, and hires.
Reporting to the Artistic Producer/General Manager, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of production, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and staffing, ensuring the highest standards of technical and artistic delivery across the company’s work.
You will lead production, workshop, and stage management teams; collaborate with directors and designers; and take overall responsibility for buildings, equipment, and Health & Safety. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to strategic planning and the continued growth of the organisation.
Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience in theatre production or technical management, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects and budgets.
Location: Wem, Shropshire (with UK travel)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Job Requirements

This senior role will lead the planning and delivery of all productions, co-productions and hires. You will manage production teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and work closely with creative teams to bring ambitious productions to life.
You will also take responsibility for our workshop and warehouse operations, company equipment and vehicles, and lead on Health & Safety across the organisation.
We’re seeking someone with:
Significant experience in theatre production or technical/stage management
Strong leadership and team management skills
Proven experience managing budgets and multiple projects
A collaborative and proactive approach
Experience of touring, CAD, or Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH) would be advantageous.
