Through creative, person-centred music-making they will deliver evidence-informed creative health interventions that improve wellbeing, confidence, resilience and social connection.
As a core member of staff, the Music Practitioner will contribute to the planning, delivery, evaluation, and ongoing development of allocated sessions and projects, helping to ensure they are safe, engaging, impactful and sustainable. The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and referring organisations to deliver high-quality creative health interventions that achieve meaningful outcomes for children and young people.
Job Requirements
Deliver high-quality music workshops as part of SoundLincs’ Children and Young People’s Social Prescription Service, ensuring a consistently high standard of artistic practice and participant experience.
Work with the CEO, Portfolio Manager, and Project and Development Manager to support the effective delivery of the service, contributing to SoundLincs’ reputation in community music and creative health.
Take ownership of the planning and coordination of allocated sessions and workshops, including agreeing practical arrangements with partner organisations, venues, schools, and group leaders.
Liaise regularly with the Portfolio Manager and Project and Development Manager regarding scheduling, participant progress, emerging needs, and delivery challenges.
Ensure all activity is delivered in accordance with SoundLincs’ safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, and risk assessment procedures.
Work within the SoundLincs PRESENT framework (Plan, Do, Review, Improve)
