Job Description
Dance&Arts is seeking a confident and engaging Debate Afterschool Club Teacher to lead a weekly club at a primary school in Walthamstow (E17) during the Autumn Term.
The club runs every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, from 9 September until 16 December, and is for children in Years 3-5 (ages 8-10). Pay is £35 per hour.
You will deliver interactive sessions that help children develop confidence in public speaking, critical thinking, respectful discussion, and persuasive communication through debates, games, and collaborative activities.

Job Requirements
Experience teaching debate, public speaking, drama, English, or similar subjects.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Ability to engage children aged 8-10.
Strong classroom management skills.
Reliable and committed throughout the term.
Enhanced DBS certificate (required).
Right to work in the UK.
Previous school teaching or workshop experience preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver engaging debate and public speaking sessions for primary-aged pupils.
Teach children how to express ideas clearly, listen respectfully, and build persuasive arguments.
Plan interactive games, discussions, and structured debates.
Encourage confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Create a supportive environment where every child feels comfortable participating.
Maintain a safe and well-managed classroom.
Liaise professionally with Dance&Arts and school staff.
