Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Rights and Digitisation Project Manager to lead the delivery of an innovative pilot programme of rights clearance and digitisation activity, funded by UKRI through the R&D Missions Accelerator Programme. This role is critical to unlocking the value of a unique colle

Job Description

Lead the planning and delivery of rights clearances and oversee an external digitisation project, ensuring objectives, budgets and timescales are achieved.
Manage rights and permissions processes, including identifying rights holders, setting royalties structures, securing agreements and maintaining accurate records.
Develop and implement project plans, workflows and documentation to support digitisation and long-term access to content.
Coordinate internal stakeholders, external suppliers and specialist consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
Oversee and upload digitised materials to the Creative Content Exchange platform and RSC DAMS, ensuring compliance with metadata standards and the accurate application of rights information.
Monitor project risks, report on progress in line with funder requirements and provide recommendations to support successful outcomes.

Job Requirements

Experience managing complex digitisation, archive, collection or content management projects.
Knowledge of copyright, licensing, intellectual property and rights clearance processes.
Strong project management skills, including planning, budget management and reporting.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience building effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive, collaborative approach and excellent attention to detail.
