Job Summary
Job Description
As Facilities Manager, you’ll make sure our building and spaces are fit for purpose every day. From the theatres and cinemas to the gallery, bars and back-of-house areas, you’ll keep the whole venue clean, safe and working as it should, so every team can deliver its programme in the best possible environment.
You’ll manage both hard and soft services. On the hard side, you’ll oversee planned preventative maintenance, inspections and reactive repairs across all building services, from plumbing, HVAC and lifts to fire, security and access control systems. You’ll also be hands-on, carrying out small-scale repairs and helping other departments with installations and fit ups.
On the soft side, you’ll lead our Cleaning Team, line managing the Cleaning Supervisors and Cleaners, and oversee cleaning, waste management and sanitary collections across the venue.
You’ll keep the building compliant with health and safety, environmental and security regulations, support risk assessments, method statements and audits, and supervise all contractors on site. You’ll also manage budgets and stock, help negotiate service contracts and look for ways to work more efficiently.
Reporting to the Building and Environmental Manager, you’ll work closely with Customer Services and teams across the organisation, staying across the programme so the building and your team are always ready for what’s coming up. The role includes being on the out-of-hours emergency call-out list.
This role would suit someone with solid venue building management experience who enjoys variety, thinks on their feet and takes pride in a building that works well for everyone who uses it.
