Production Manager

Join B:Music and play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding events across Symphony Hall, Town Hall and a range of offsite locations. As Production Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the planning, coordination and operational delivery of a diverse programme of concerts, performances, conferences and special events, ensuring every event is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
Working closely with clients, artists, promoters and internal teams, you’ll oversee all technical and logistical requirements from initial enquiry through to event completion. You’ll ensure that technical requirements lighting, sound, staging, rigging, staffing and venue operations, are captured, communicated and delivered effectively. Acting as the key point of contact for allocated events, you’ll build strong client relationships while balancing commercial, operational and customer service priorities.
This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent organisational skills, sound technical knowledge and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. You’ll regularly liaise with clients, prepare event plans, coordinate resources, manage production budgets and track event costs to ensure accurate financial reporting.
You’ll be comfortable responding to last-minute changes, acting as an out-of-hours contact when required and making informed decisions in a live event environment. Experience of event management systems, resource scheduling and coordinating technical teams will be highly beneficial.
Beyond delivering exceptional events, you’ll play an important role in developing the wider team, supporting the training and mentoring of colleagues and sharing expertise across the department. You’ll also contribute ideas that improve processes, enhance efficiency and support the continued growth and success of B:Music.
