2 days a week at £112.50 per day.
Maximum of 16 hours a week across 2 working days.
From Winter 2026 – Spring 2027.
This trainee might have experience/seek more experience in community arts, producing, creative writing, project management, facilitation.
We are casting our net wide with this call out as we want the ideal candidate to be a creative who will benefit the most from this experience.
Essentials are as follows:- Must be based in Teesside/Tyneside
– Up to date DBS
– An interest in working in Community Arts
Words & Worlds is a community arts project focused on telling people’s stories through the written word. Over the course of six months, we connect with different community groups through story collection workshops, this work culminates into a published anthology.
This will be our fourth anthology with the project, this time connecting with community hubs in Middlesbrough. The trainee will be assisting in supporting workshops, documenting work, planning a celebration event and general project admin.

Job Responsibilities
Assist lead artists in delivering story collection workshops in community hubs.
Capture and record participant stories.
Assist with the logistics and delivery of the final anthology celebration event.
Help collate and organise collected stories for the final published book.
