This role provides the opportunity to work with talented students and staff in a professional theatre setting, using a wide range of industry-standard equipment and technologies.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and technically skilled Theatre & Events Technician to support our vibrant Performing Arts department and theatre complex. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in theatre, live events or performance technology who enjoys working in a busy and varied environment.
You will have experience of providing technical support for a range of performance events and have strong knowledge covering all aspects of theatre operations. We are looking for someone who is confident with the design and operation of sound, lighting, AV and wider technical requirements.

Job Requirements
Curriculum Support & School Events
To design the sound, plot and operate the sound desk for productions, and provide sound support for visiting theatre companies and theatre lets.
To design the lighting, program and operate for productions, and provide lighting support for visiting theatre companies and theatre lets.
To provide sound reinforcement for events around the school such as Sports Day and visiting speakers.
To support the Drama, Dance and Music Departments with exam recordings and performances.
To assist in delivering a Technical Theatre club for the school pupils.
To support teaching staff and pupils during lessons when requested.
The Theatre Technician shall attend departmental and Production meetings hosted by the Performing Arts Department and the Theatre Manager.
Maintenance of the Building & Equipment
To assist in the general maintenance of the teaching areas of the performing arts department with regards to technical equipment.
