Job Description
Pushkin House is seeking an experienced and ambitious Development Manager to lead its fundraising and development. Reporting to the Executive Director, the post holder will oversee a diverse portfolio spanning trusts and foundations, major individual donors, and the Friends and Patrons schemes. They will identify new income opportunities, cultivate and steward supporters, develop compelling funding proposals, manage membership development and supporter engagement, and build a strong, sustainable funding pipeline that reflects both the organisation’s cultural mission and its long-term financial needs. As Pushkin House looks to the future, the Development Manager will play a central role in turning the energy of its recent transformation into lasting organisational resilience.
The ideal candidate will have a track record in fundraising and relationship management, ideally in the arts and cultural sector, and a sound understanding of UK and international trusts, foundations and private philanthropy. They will combine strategic thinking with excellent delivery, bringing creativity and initiative to a varied, target-driven role. Highly organised and confident in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, they will work independently and collaboratively, with tact, diplomacy and a genuine commitment to Pushkin House’s work.
