Job Description

Chapter Five / Kaihogyo is the new original live work from the Waldorf Project, the London-based artistic team behind a series of acclaimed immersive performances staged around the world. It brings together performance, sound design and the senses, and opens to audiences this month.
We’re in our final week of set build and are looking for volunteers to help us finish the spaces before we open. The sets are in place, and now we’re on the detailed, hands-on work that makes them feel complete: preparing the rooms, setting the floors, and sorting costumes and storage.
You’ll work alongside the core creative and production team, and see the spaces before anyone else does.
The details
When: Monday 2 to Sunday 8 November 2026, 9am to 5:30pm
How often: as many or as few days as suit you. Come for a full day, a morning or an afternoon.
Where: Zone 2, North London
Covered: snacks and drinks on set, a light lunch, and travel reimbursed against receipts, up to £10 a day
What you’ll get
Hands-on experience of a professional immersive set build
Working directly with the core team behind the project
The option to join the backstage team for the run, after an induction on 9 or 10 November
Experience for your CV, and a reference on request

This is a voluntary role with no pay. Expenses are reimbursed as above.

Job Requirements

Aged 18 or over
Practical, careful and happy to do physical work, including lifting and laying carpets and cleaning
An eye for detail
Able to come for at least one morning or afternoon between 2 and 7 November
An interest in art, design, theatre or making is a plus
No previous experience is needed. You’ll get a safety briefing at the start of your first day
