Job Summary

Seeking a trustee to help grow a project centered on new classical music, heritage, and education. We are particularly looking for trustees who have a background or knowledge in charity boards, financial or fundraising backgrounds.

Job Description

The Litany Project is a new Foundation CIO aiming to develop an ongoing UK-wide programme through which composers and performers can create and present new work inspired by the UK’s historic and cultural heritage.
What will you be doing?

As a Trustee you will play a vital role in keeping our aims on track, helping seek funding, and bringing a practical perspective to creative decisions.

We are a small team of three Trustees, with respective experience in the music, education and heritage sectors, and we feel strongly that new music should be more accessible through performance and film, in locations outside of the concert hall. We aim to increase public access to and appreciation of new classical music by presenting it alongside
accessible historical, cultural and educational context.

What are we looking for?

Ideally we are looking for a Trustee with previous experience either as a Trustee or board member, or with fundraising or business background. We are looking for someone comfortable with funding applications, budgeting, and preferably with an interest in the arts.

What difference will you make?

As a Trustee with this experience you will help us structure our projects and keep us accountable, and help to secure funding for future artistic endeavours.
