Job Mission:

ASML Brion is seeking a Technical Writing intern for a position located in the Shenzhen, China office. You must be able to work at least 3 days a week. You will update and maintain documentation in US English for a highly sophisticated engineer and developer audience in the semiconductor industry.

Job Description: 

  • Write and edit high-quality single-source product documentation in Simple English authored in DITA XML using Oxygen XML Author or Microsoft Word, integrated with the Bluestream XDocs Component Content Management System (CCMS).
  • Check and optimize figures used in product documentation.
  • Publish documentation in PDF using Adobe Acrobat.
  • Coordinate internal reviews of the product documentation.

Education: 

  • BS/BA degree or above, required in English, Technical Writing, Communication, Software, Computer Science, or other related degree.
  • CET6/TEM4 certificate

Requirements: 

  • Experience writing English documents, such as papers, articles, reports, and so on.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Reader.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Desirable Skills: 

  • Basic understanding of DITA.
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience writing documents for end users, such as release notes, application notes, knowledgebase articles, guides, or technical content for websites.
  • Experience working with off-site authors and subject matter experts (SMEs), including editing content created by English as a Second Language (ESL) speakers.
  • Experience using Simple English or Basic English to document complex concepts for ESL audiences.
  • Familiar with Atlassian applications, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
  • Can read C++ code, Java code, or other programming code, and understand how to format code.
