Summary of Job Duties:

• The position requires teaching multi-level English to speakers of other languages (ESOL) classes and includes instruction in other Adult Education areas including WAGE and integrated Education and Training. The position may be required to teach in-person classes (days/evenings), online classes, and classes offered at alternate locations such as the UACCB Sharp County Adult Education Center or workplace classes.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• A current Arkansas Department of Education teacher’s license. If teachers do not already have a license in Adult Education, they must obtain an Adult

Education additional license within three (3) years of the date of their initial employment as a full-time Adult Education teacher.

• Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications

• English as a Second Language (ESL) K-12 certification and/or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) graduate classes

Master’s Degree
