Summary of Job Duties:

• This position reports to the Dean of General Education and is a 9-month faculty appointment. This position may also be eligible for overload during the fall, spring, and summer terms.
• This position is responsible for on-ground, hybrid, and online instruction. Specific course assignments are determined based on instructor credentials, availability, and course needs.
• This position will work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and the community, and teaching across academic programs as appropriate.
• Applicant must be committed to supporting community college teaching and student success. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

o assessment of student learning

o utilization of the college’s ERP System (Workday) and learning management system (Blackboard Ultra) and other instructional technology

o completion of required general and program specific faculty duties

o collaboration across departments and divisions to ensure retention and completion efforts

o active engagement on shared governance committees and faculty senate

o engage with students regularly in both curricular and co-curricular settings

o engage with the communities and industries partners throughout the UACCB service area

o other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications 

• Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in English or related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours of English courses.
• Applicable licenses, credentials, certifications, and work experience will also be considered as appropriate
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to utilize technology effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution
• Teaching experience in higher education, specifically in the two-year college setting

• Position is a full-time, 9-month appointment period
• Position is not eligible for remote, and will office on the UACCB campus

Salary Information:

$40,000-$47,000 based on level of degree and experience.
