Ivy Tech Community College, Terre Haute Campus, is seeking an on-campus Academic Affairs Assistant for our School of Health Sciences. This individual will assist and support all programs and schools that report to the Dean of the School of Health Sciences. This individual will report directly to the School Dean and be responsible for many tasks in the daily operation of the office.This individual will assist and support all programs and schools that report to the Dean of the School of Health Sciences. This individual will report directly to the School Dean and be responsible for many tasks in the daily operation of the office including:Assist and support the Dean, Program Chairs and faculty, full time and adjunct.Supervise staff and work studies.Manage student files while also assisting students through face-to-face, e-mail and telephone.Perform general office responsibilities.Create correspondence.Order office supplies, instructor materials and textbooks.Manage school Purchasing card purchases.Manage line schedules, syllabi and grade books.Assist Program Chairs with and audit budgets for the School programs each month.Prepare requisitions, travel, and registrations.Maintenance and inventory of equipment lists.Organize, assist and/or plan College functions, such as advisory meetings, club or organization events, or committee meetings.Must be able to work with confidential information.Perform prerequisite verification.Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.Position requires sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of the College students and employees.Excellent Benefit Package:Excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, spouse/child life insurance, Long and Short-Term Disability, Identity Theft Protection and additional voluntary benefits.Employer contribution to Health Savings Account (with enrollment in medical CDHP insurance)No waiting period to enroll in benefits.Employer contribution to retirement plan. (Employee contribution not required)Paid time off: vacation and sick accrued bi-weekly.Paid holidays: 8 days plus winter break between December 25th and January 1st.Free tuition for employee and dependents.Professional Development opportunities.$17.00/hourAssociates Degree in Administrative Office Technology or related degree, and two years of office administration experience, or equivalent experience required.Minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience preferred.Must be able to pass a background check and be able to work with high school age students.Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects required.Must possess excellent relationship building skills including working successfully with diverse populations, including (but not limited to) college and school personnel, teachers and prospective students.Must possess effective communication skills (phone, email, and written) and experience in public speaking. Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) is required; experience with a Customer Relationship Management tool is preferred; experience with Workday and Banner is helpfulMust demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.Ivy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
