Job Description

The Academic Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of academic programs. This role involves both direct teaching (40%) and academic coordination/support (60%). The ideal candidate should possess strong teaching abilities, organizational skills, and a passion for academic excellence. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Teaching Responsibilities (40%) 

• Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the institution’s curriculum and learning objectives. 
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment methods to enhance student learning. 
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. 
• Foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment. 
• Stay updated on new teaching methodologies and educational trends. 

Teaching Assistance & Academic Coordination (60%) 

• Support teachers with lesson planning, material development, and classroom management strategies. 
• Conduct observations and provide feedback to educators to improve instructional effectiveness. 
• Assist in curriculum development, ensuring alignment with institutional goals. 
• Organize and lead teacher training workshops or professional development sessions. 
• Coordinate scheduling, class assignments, and faculty meetings. 
• Act as a liaison between faculty, students, and administration to address academic concerns. 
• Support the implementation of assessment and evaluation processes. 
• Maintain academic records and ensure compliance with institutional policies. 

Work Environment: 

• A combination of classroom teaching and administrative tasks. 
• Interaction with teachers, students, and academic leadership teams. 
• Occasional participation in meetings, workshops, and training sessions. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field. 
• Proven experience in teaching and academic coordination. 
• Strong understanding of curriculum design and educational best practices. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to mentor and support teaching staff. 
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. 
• Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
• Experience in teacher training or professional development. 
• Familiarity with student assessment tools and data analysis.
